This year's 46th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that a second season of the anime adaptation of Tozen Ujiie's Seitokai Yakuindomo manga has been green-lit. In addition, a new original anime DVD (OAD) will be bundled with the limited edition of the 10th manga volume.
For the second season, the anime's main cast will be reprising their roles, with Yōko Hikasa as Shino Amakusa, Shintarō Asanuma as Takatoshi Tsuda, Sayuri Yahagi as Suzu Hagimura, and Satomi Satou as Aria Shichijō.
The story is set on a high school that the student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin rules by force. Wielding a giant Basami scissors sword, the wandering transfer student Ryuuko Matoi brings about upheaval on the campus. Ryuuko searches for the mysterious figure who caused her father's death, but confronting her are the student council's "four divine kings." Fortunately, Ryuuko is aided by a talking sailor uniform who tells her, "Wear me. When I am worn by you, this power will become manifest."
In the movie's story, just before the completion of the Academy City space elevator "Endymion", the main characters Kamijou and Index encounter a level 0 girl named Arisa. The Magicians are after Arisa, and they attack Academy City. A female leader named Shattoaura leads a unit from Academy City against the attack. Kamijou and Index learn from Stiyl that Arisa is key to a brewing war between the sides of Magic and Science.
Manga creator Roots announced on his official Twitter account on Sunday that a third season of the anime adaptation of Roots' and Piyo's Teekyū manga has been green-lit, and will air in October.
New anime adaptation of George Morikawa's Fighting Spirit manga to air this fall
This year's 34th issue Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Manga is revealing on Wednesday that a third season of the television anime adaptation of George Morikawa's Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit) manga has been green-lit. The anime is scheduled to begin airing this fall in Japan. The announcement image reads, “Ippo fights the formidable enemy, Sawamura! Dempsey breaks down!?”
Animation studio ufotable's founder Hikaru Kondo announced on Friday that ufotable will produce a new Fate/stay night project. Kondo did not specify the format that the new project will take, nor did he specify if the project will be a remake.
Studio DEEN previously animated the Fate/stay night television anime series (pictured at right) in 2006. The studio also produced the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works film in 2010, which covered The Unlimited Blade Works storyline from Type-Moon's game franchise.
