General Discussion / Your TOP 5 Action Anime Characters?
« on: November 09, 2013, 05:20:42 am »
I just had to do this, just because of the BADASSry nature of some of the characters I think are the bees knees in the world of anime!!

All you have to do is state who Your TOP 5 Action Anime Characters are, from 1 to 5 (with 1 being the top dog). You're welcome to say why they are your top/favourite. But that's entirely your decision.

Here I go:
  • Roronoa Zoro (from ONE PIECE) - the guy oozes BADASS from his pores!
  • King Bradley (the FULL METAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD one)
  • Levi or Rivaille (from SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN)
  • Mugen (from SAMURAI CHAMPLOO)
  • Sebastian Michaelis (from KUROSHITSUJI)

Your turn!! Yes you!!!

Kami-sama! I has come to you with some requests if you don't mind?

I know it's greedy, but I have 2 requests...A sig and an avatar please, if you don't mind

Request 1 (Avatar)
Size: As you see fit (get most of the character in it)
Render:
Text: Genjut33 or Genju╬33 (Pick whichever you think suits it) (That t is done by holding Alt then pressing 206 on the number pad)
Any other details you might want: A bloodthirst (bloody) sort of theme?

Request 2 (Sig)
Size: 400x150 (Or as close as possible)
Render:
Text: Genjut33 or Genju╬33 (same as above)
Any other details: Intimidating theme?

Many Thanks! If you can only do 1 of them, the avatar has priority then :)

Whatever happened to the Dragons, Air bisons and Moles being the original benders. :|
Haha, i know right? But then again you can't definitively said all benders got their bending from the turtles. They could say that like the turtles; the dragons, bisons and moles had bending already? Though the turtles didn't necessarily bend themselves?

But hey, there's a lot we could speculate from whatever little bits of info there is, just to try and make sense of anything haha

Yeah these were great. It really makes me want a season of just briefly going through a few more past Avatars.
Me too. Imagine instead of a post-Aang season, if they had made the Legend of Wan? Or even the next person after Wan? That would have really shone how the people came to be able to bend etc and the possible struggles/oppression obviously of those who could not bend. Plus how the world viewed this new entity known as "The Avatar"

OMG!!! This double episode of Wan has made up for this season's initial "letdown-ness".

Amazing back story! Absolutely brilliant!

No beach episode.  :'(
no hot springs episode with Eren heating the water up :(

No obon matsuri festival episode where Mikasa gets to wear a yukata and they scoop goldfish and watch hanabi. :(

From a pacing and action standpoint, this definitely picked up after the introduction of the female titan, but it leaves so many unresolved issues for another season. What about the secret in Eren's basement? Why did Annie do what she did? Who else is an undercover titan behind the walls? Since I'm not reading the mange, I guess I'll just have to wait. And I didn't pick up on the significance of the titan peering through the hole in the wall. I just thought it was a "to be continued" teaser.
It's because of how they chose to show the titan in the wall. It's totally different in the manga, and it gives you more of an idea as to why that may be and its significance...eventhough it isnt exactly stated

Finished marathoning this last night. I think a lot of people let the seinen aspect go to their heads. All the brutality and shock mostly covers the flaws (and a few plot holes) of the series. Mostly though, I just know I would have enjoyed it a lot more if there were wayyy better characters. Mikasa slowly becomes yandere over the course of the episodes but really doesn't change much, just a specimen of perfect physical and intellectual prowess. Eren was only a little likable right before he become a titan, in which afterwards it was 15 episodes of his pupils being small and him complaining. Armin was the only one that grew as he took in tactical responsibilities instead of crying over and over. Its a real shame. Manga is probably more tolerable character wise and I will be reading it as the story was what kept me in it. Sure, if you boil it down some its a story thats been done before but the deeper aspects hinted at in the tenure of the anime are interesting.
Now that's what I call an analysis
;) but I must mention, for anyone thats a fan of Titan, you MUST read chapter 33 and realize the travesty they committed against the final episode. I probably would have given it a 9/10 even with the poor characters as the story becomes so much deeper in a split second. They really ruined it however in the anime, the titan in the wall being almost purely comical instead of the emotions and way it went down in the manga. I can also already tell that in the manga characters are less exaggerated as they were in the anime; Eren didn't go full retard berserk like he did in the anime.

Yeh, it had me wondering how they'd resume from the titan in the wall bit in the anime...because it'll definitely be different from the manga
Might not even show the glasses woman-priest scene
