Um, the fine print of your contract unclearly states that you are not allowed to do that.  ;)

I don't understand how can people leave a forum, it's not like you can't go to it at any moment even a few months later, anyway cya

Kind of the same boat.
It's like some one not checking their email ever again, no?
Of course you can easily just check it. Doesn't matter if you almost never send anything, you're still there looking at what's new.

He is right though.
We're gonna have to do SOMETHING to lure in members and have these forums chit chatty like the days in INP. This forum is already at the bottom of its hole and its not receiving any light at all. We're Seaofnumbers, even though we couldn't decide a name, but really has no "animu" tone to it which is maybe why we don't get as much traffic. Our Layouts are too plain. Still no "animu" tone. I'm sure people who goes to this site that thinks about joining would compare and contrast our site to other sites like, niphonblahblah, whatever that big ass forum was. Either way, all the "admins" are literally just giving the finger to the forums and not doing shit about it. I may be wrong, since there can be things that we regular members or regular mods don't know about. BUT. Its been freakin' 14 months. A **** YEAR and TWO MONTHS and yet no work was done than fixing minor bugs. (e.g. link too long, uses "Scroll bar" SUPER EFFECTIVE, supposedly). As still a regular member, I have no experience of attracting and bringing in traffic and potential life-long members and I'd love to do something but I don't have a clue. Which is where the Administrators come in to lead the way and suggest idea. Shed us some light, tell us what you admins are up to, to bring back these forums. Rather, make an announcement and make all of the members that are currently active to suggest SOMETHING. CDE, you took up the responsibility to put it back on track. But if you're not gonna do anything with it, just tell us you can't do it. Talk to us.

Now the question is ; When is the movement gonna start?
Share us some information of what you plan to do.
I don't want no bullshit like INP did. "V3 coming soon". Came out and was shut down, what? 3 months later? **** that. I dont even remember if V3 ever came out.

I thank Animeace to trigger what I wanted to say.

There's not much for the admins to do. So us not doing anything can't be our fault, no? CD has been stating that he's been working on a new platform/site to move all this too and have that new place be the one we actually work on expanding and advertising. That doesn't make it his fault either though. He's been working on it entirely by his self while also dealing with his own personal stuff and learnings or what not. As for there being no news about anything, well, new about that is likely because there probably isn't much to say when nothing major happens.

Unrelated to the topic but v3 came out in Spring of the 2011, INP being shutdown in late Fall of 2012. I'm pretty sure on that as I was working as an uploader for them since day 1 of the v3 release.

Kind of pointless to post about leaving since you'll never read any of the responses to your farewell if you're true to your word.

So instead of a goodbye, here's a video of people farting.

Yeah CD and admins are doing this for free in their free time so they don't owe us anything, and are not giving us the finger. I'm just happy we even have this site at all, and if you really care about it, you'll stick around until the new site.

@Dark
also kind of agree there

Yes, you're wrong. This forum has been pretty open source since the beginning with the design and direction coming from the members. We haven't been hiding something in a back room discussion. The forum is what we all contribute to it. I know you've been linking new anime releases, and that is appreciated. But don't expect the admins alone to create something and deliver it to you. Everybody will create it.

Totally agree.
Any member can help up activity with their own effort too, and think of their own ideas to help the forum and they offer that up to the community, because first and foremost, this is a community and I think that's the right attitude when it comes to try making this place better. A good starting point I've found in my experience, is starting the right threads. Maybe ones with specific concerns to facilitate a productive discussion.

To be honest I don't get the obsession with making forums bigger and bigger. This is a community not a public company with shareholders.
^ Once it's stated that I'm not worried about that, then I can say about the name that it's not remotely important.

Now if you want a website audit:
We only have 464 backlinks on the entire web. Nearly all from, inpowerz and someone called beejay-star on nintendorealm.com.

W3C wise the site is perfect.

http://www.woorank....www/seaofnumbers.com

The sites needs a decent 404 page with a 404 code, a link to the home, a research field and a plan of the site.

Also probably a sitemap if there is none.

If you want to help this site, post a link on various sites that are somewhat related to anime but do not copy/paste content under any circumstances. Also do not post the links in order for them to appear as "Sea of Numbers" rather than "http://www.seaofnumbers.com"
