Misako Ayukawa, a woman in her 30s, is an English teacher with  ironically poor English skills. She values herself over her students and  money over love. She displays arrogance in front of her students, but  acts pleasantly around everyone else. However, Ayukawa possesses a  brilliant mind for solving puzzles. Motivated by the possibility of  rewards and treasure, she ends up tackling various cases on the weekends  along with 3 of her top students. --Tokyograph

I just watched this comedy (10 episodes) and enjoyed it in spite of its predictable and repetitive formula. Essentially each episode is a new mystery where the young and cute teacher Ayukawa crashes the plans of her three top students (a typical sambaka trio) who have fallen for some treasure hunting scheme presented by three attractive but conniving female students. In spite of her strong motivation of greed, they wind up without the treasure and the police detective and kendo instructor conclude each episode by scolding the trio for inconveniencing their teacher. Ishihara Satomi, the actress for the teacher, is hilarious and Puzzle is a fun series to watch. BTW, I first saw Ishihara in Yoshitsune where she starred as the beautiful but tragic Shizuka.
