I guess the continuation of the series into the second season was engaging enough, but it changed it from a shocking, controversial yet memorable story into something more predictable and typical. Looks like the biggest change in the postwar is that the loli maid let her hair down.
Since the public thinks that Slaine died in the war when in fact he's being held prisoner, it's likely he will never be released. Although Asseylum asked Inaho to save Slaine, being left alive to rot in prison while watching the victors create the new world must be worse than death for him. And how can they leave some of the Orbital Knights as rebels holding territory on the earth? They're in the perfect position for guerrilla action sabotaging reconstruction and things like that new Aldnoah power plant unless the military subdues them.
