(This is a direct translation of my Swedish review at Animecka)

Servamp
An anime series airing during the summer season consisting of 12 episodes in total.

Rating
Animation - 7/10
Sound - 6/10
Story - 4/10
Character - 4/10
Total - 5/10

Synopsis
In short the series is about a number of vampires called "servamps". These vampires kan create contract with humans who then in turn are called "eves". Mahiro, the main character in the series, is introduced as a person of action. He lost his parents when a little child and was taken in by his uncle. Mahiro admires his uncle and has taken over his motto that things should be treated as simple as possible for everyone's best. During the series Mahiro is introduced to the world of the vampires and gets involved in a conflict between these so called servamps where Mahiro chose to try and solve the conflict.

Review
The series have a quality to it that I appreciate to be a standard today. It looks nice without being anything exceptional. The sound was nothing that I thought negatively or positively about. The voice actors did a fine job which was to be expected as I recognised several of them.

The issues I found with the series after I had finished watching it was the story and the characters. The story felt underdeveloped and began to introduce paths which were not always followed up. Many questions left unanswered when the last episode was concluded which immediately left a negative tone to the show as a whole. The last episode ended the conflict but it was uncertain how it effected the involved individuals and what exactly was the deciding factor to the change that the one responsible for the conflict went through.

The characters were, in lack of a more descriptive word; nonexistent. The main character, Mahiro, was quite repetitive with his motto about simplicity and to face someone directly in order to understand each other. This mostly resulted in repetitive phrases as standard and after a while it became quite difficult to take Mahiro seriously as he felt naive thinking he had the solution to everything. The other characters were to some extent interesting and out of them particularity one pair of servamp and eve got extra background history which explained a lot about the two and added depth to them while the others did not get the same treatment in the series. Some characters therefor had potential for further development and depth but this did not fit within the 12 episodes.

Closing Statements
The limit of the 12 episodes brought down any potential the series had. The story could not have been developed as much as it needed to in order to leave a positive impression and the unfair treatment of the characters can partly be explained by the number of episodes. The creators could have done a much better job with distributing the story to fit the actual length of the series.

Lastly I would not recommend this series to anyone. It has some interesting aspects but in the end the viewer will be left feeling unsatisfied as the series as a whole is badly balanced.

Well, I certainly did not but it was too late. If it is 12 episodes then I finish it.
